El papa León XIV protagonizó una particular imagen durante el último día de su visita a Francia, este domingo 28 de septiembre de 2026. El pontífice viajó en la cabina de un Airbus A320 mientras la aeronave era acompañada por un caza Rafale de la Fuerza Aérea y Espacial francesa.

La fotografía, tomada y difundida por la Fuerza Aérea y Espacial de Francia, muestra a León XIV en la cabina mientras el avión se dirigía hacia el aeropuerto de Metz-Nancy-Lorena, en el noreste francés.

El papa permaneció aproximadamente 30 minutos en la cabina del avión que lo trasladó desde Lourdes hasta Metz, informó Air France a la agencia AFP.

El vuelo se realizó durante la última jornada de la visita de León XIV a Francia.
